AEA attendees staying at the Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center, The DoubleTree by Hilton Portland or the Hilton Portland Downtown will receive a Hop Fastpass pre-loaded with funds to access Portland’s public transportation system.  The pass will be valid October 20th-26th.  If you would like to utilize the public transportations system outside of those dates, you will be responsible for the cost.

The MAX Light Rail is the heart and soul of the city’s public transportation system. It includes more than 90 stations, and its track stretches for 60 miles, connecting the city, airport and greater Portland region. All five lines (Blue, Red, Green, Yellow and Orange) run through downtown.

The MAX is also a frequent service line, meaning it runs every 15 minutes or less. Navigating Portland through public transportation and easy and accessible to all. You can find all the details on this webpage regarding the Max Light Rail, Portland Streetcar, and Bus Services.

All three of these services have stops right near the Hilton, Convention Center, Hyatt, and Doubletree but the Max Light Rail Line will offer the quickest and most direct route to the Convention Center via Red line, Blue line, and Green line.

You can also use the TriMet Trip planner to verify your route to the Oregon Convention Center.

You must activate your Hop Fastpass by tapping your card on the reader every time you board. Be sure to look for the Hop Fastpass readers which are separate from the ticket machines. You can learn “How to Ride” here.
